Launch 360° virtual tour of The George and Dragon
The George is one of my favourite pubs and is situated next door to The Union Arms The pub's long and narrow in shape but has been extended and refurbished in may 2002 which has created extra seating and standing room.
The George has a large beer garden running all the way down to the river, great for a few beers on warm summers days The lager's always cold and it's quite quick to get served, even on a Friday night when the pub's heaving (once you've managed to get through the doors). The pub also gets busy on a Tuesday for "grab a granny night" and Sunday afternoons when there is usually a singer on. Give Sunday afternoons a try there's usually a good atmosphere.
Other entertainment is by means of premiership footy shown on a big screen and on other smaller TV's dotted around the pub. A range of reasonably priced bar meals are served on lunchtimes only
