Exciting things are happening at Yarm Bookshop. Kath and Darrell Martin are the new owners and are looking forward to their first Christmas in Yarm. They took over in August and are really enjoying running the bookshop together as a family business

“The shop will remain a general bookseller but we are enlarging the Children’s section. Having two children of our own means we really understand the importance of children enjoying books from an early age.”

Kath and Darrell have already introduced exciting events such as a ‘Revolting Day’ to celebrate Roald Dahl’s birthday and a Teddy Bears’ Picnic for the under 5’s.

Kath worked for 12 years with a national bookselling chain and Darrell worked in the multimedia industry. Between us we can locate almost any book in print and even some titles out of print.

“We will be happy to advise anyone looking for gift ideas for Christmas. We offer a next day ordering service and will be happy to gift wrap any book bought in the shop. We also offer a customer loyalty scheme as we love to see our customers come back again and again.”
